Meet the Team
Peta began writing many years ago and now has over 15 books and stories in print under two pen names. As P.L. Harris, she writes contemporary romance, romantic suspense with a twist of mystery and intrigue. Her books are rich in storyline and location with characters that stay with you long after you turn the last page. Under P.L. Harris, she has published stories with Serenity Press, Blue Swan Publishing, Evernight Publishing and now publishes the majority of her books with Gumnut Press.
Polly Holmes is her cheeky, sassy alter ego. When she's not writing her next romantic suspense novel as P.L. Harris, she is planning the next murder in one of Polly's cozy mysteries. All Polly Holmes mysteries are published solely with Gumnut Press.
She’s a proud member of the Romance Writers of Australia and America. Australian Society of Authors, the Peter Cowan Writers Centre and has a Certificate in Romance Writing. Her awards tally so far include 2 first and 6 finalist placings from all around the world. A true romantic at heart, Peta believes everyone deserves their own happily ever after.
Bursting with passion to share her writing and publishing knowledge with the wider community, Peta began Gumnut Press to inspire and nurture authors, both established and emerging.
Peta is on a mission to share the power of storytelling with the world.
Nas is a voracious reader. She reads most genres and grew up on mystery, thrillers and romance. Apart from reading, she likes travelling, gardening, music, and meeting people. She has travelled through the United States, Europe and parts of Asia. As well as Australia and New Zealand.
She has been in the publishing industry since 2010—editing and working with authors. As an editor, she makes constructive suggestions without interfering with the overall conception of your writing voice. Because as a reader, she knows what hooks a reader in from the first chapter, so she can help find inconsistencies and fix the errors, making the story flow better.
While editing, she has also been teaching writers the mechanics of writing and how to get a flawless manuscript.
The published manuscript is a reflection of her work so she aims it to be of the highest quality possible.
Lisa Edward is the author of The Songbird trilogy, the novels Ripped and Broken, the novella Duty of Care and a contributor to the collation of short stories in Hook & Ladder 69.
While Lisa has called Melbourne Australia home for her entire life, she has lived and worked in England, and travelled through most parts of Europe and the United States. She loves nothing more than spending time with her beautiful daughter, or curling up into the early hours of the morning with a great novel.
